Rock the Top-Knot Series

One of my favorite "go to" looks is the sock bun. If you haven't, you must and if you already do then here is how I do it! I know everyone has there own little spin on it, here is mine!

Outfit Details// Shirt is from SlyFoxThreads// Skirt is from Blue Linen//
Cute Floral thingy (haha) from Groop Dealz

1. Gather hair into a high pony using a brush and your hands, it helps me to do it with my head hanging down (sometimes)
2. Keep the bun-shaper around your wrist
3. Begin rolling your bun by starting at the ends of your hair and roll until you are tightly against the top of your head
4. What you will have is 1/2 of a perfect bun, the front will be exposing the bun-shaper, now pull the hair gently over the bun shaping (pulling from both sides)
5. Pin into place (usually takes me 2 bobby pins)
6. There you have it, super easy, super secure, super sexy
7. Now, go be a babe in a sock bun!

Ps: Do not put your hair into a high pony tail then do this, it will float about a 1/2 inch above your head because of the hair tie. You will have to pin the whole thing down and it ruins the perfect sock bun look. Just trust me, and try this out!

National Brazilian Blowout Day

What is Brazilian Blowout?
Brazilian Blowout is a smoothing treatment that is applied like a color and blow dried and straightened into the hair. It eliminates frizz, loosens curl and improves shine. It is the only straightening treatment that actually improves the hair. Basically, it's freaking amazing!

What are the benefits?
If you have frizzy, unmanageable hair you already know that air drying your hair is out of the question. Now you can air dry your hair, blow dry time cut in half and enjoy silky, shiny, straighter hair.

How long does it last?
Most of my clients get their Brazilian Blowouts seasonally. It has promised results up to 12 weeks but I tend to see results lasting even longer.

What do I need?
You will need sulfate free shampoo and I always recommend the Brazilian Blowout after care products (leave in conditioner, mask, etc..)

What do they cost?
Brazilian Blowouts start at one hundred dollars and can go up to 300 dollars depending on length and thickness.

My suggestions?
If you think this might be perfect for you find a salon or stylist that is "Brazilian Blow-out certified". Make sure they are really certified, a lot of stylist claim to be but only are certified online. You must take the online course and a real class.

Now all my frizzy headed friends, go get your sleek hair on!

Making Home-made Baby Food

I won't pretend, my child does not eat homemade baby food everyday but I do my best to make as much as I can. I read lots of reviews on different kitchen gadgets and I finally took the plunge and splurged on the BabyCook and I freaking love it ! Today I got brave and played with some new fruit/veggies combo and Strider had two favorites.

I love these spoons! My best friend told me about them and they are shaped just perfect and priced even better. Check them out

I love these as well, great for when the baby is learning/wanting to self feed. Check them out.
