Embracing Bed Head

Alright, let's pillow talk. But not the type of pillow talk you're thinking...let's talk bed head. I was asked by Casper, a mattress company, "How I embrace bed-head." I must say, they are probably the most innovative mattress company I have ever seen. Going to their site made me want to watch their videos and watching their videos made me want a new mattress. You really should check them out here.

I have been on a journey to find easy hairstyles that cut my morning "get-ready-in-a-mad-dash-time-ruitine" in half. I love to get ready and feel beautiful but lets be real, it's a treat to be able to get ready and not have to rush. Sometimes I am lucky to have two matching shoes on when I leave the house in the morning. Showering at night is a good option but I hate to blow-dry my hair when I am tired and all I want to do is sleep... so I decided that I am going to embrace bed-head. This video will show you how to style your hair from wet to dry and most of the work is being done while you're sleeping. Now that's my kind of hairstyle.

Warning: Your husband, boyfriend, lover, roommate, mother, cat (or whatever/whomever you live with) might think you look crazy, but never fear, you will look sexy in the morning.

Multi Cultural Fashion Inspirations

I am by no means a fashion blogger, but I do eat, sleep and breath everything beauty so I guess fashion just comes with the territory. I am very passionate about fashion and finding "ones style," but I find myself a little self conscious in front of a camera (even though I end up in front of one a lot.)

I was asked by Smartling , a translation software company to help with their Fashion Language Project. They asked  "How do different cultures influence your fashion?" I had never been asked a question like that before so I began to go through my closet. What I learned: I am by no means prejudice or even predictable when it comes to my wardrobe. This may sound silly to some but I truly believe that finding "your style" is very important to your own happiness. Personal fashion is a journey, it can go through many phases, you will experience highs as well as lows. Let's be honest: there are a many reasons to ignore you; being poor (for real!) transitioning into post baby-body, learning to be professional while fashionable, staying modest but classy or fear of trying new things.

If you feel beautiful in your skin then you feel unstoppable and you act accordingly. Your children, family, colleagues, friends, peers and you, rely on you so why shouldn't you feel amazing?! I challenge you to work on building a wardrobe that is "you" and work on finding your "style." Your wardrobe doesn't have to be filled with gold and glitter like mine. What makes me sparkle on the inside is to sparkle on the outside. Let your personality, your likes, your dislikes and the world around you inspire you. This is my take on how different cultures influence my closet.
